Where this sits against what a boat already costs
You know your own numbers better than we do, which is most of the point of the app. Put a year of AFTWISE™ beside the ones you already pay: a haul-out and a bottom job. A season in a slip. An impeller, a set of zincs, and the yard time to fit them. One fill on a boat with two tanks.
Against any of those, the subscription is not where your money goes. It is the part that tells you where the rest of it went.
The step up costs less than the step looks. Aftwise Owner to Aftwise Cruiser is $8 a month, or $70 a year on the annual plans. That is the difference between a record of the boat and a record of the boating — Locks & Bridges, Hourly Checks, the Captain Log, the Vessel Map, schematics, spares and provisions.
And the emergency drills sit in the entry plan. The Mayday call, person overboard, fire, taking-on-water and immediate-actions drills, the monthly safety-equipment check and the guest briefing are all Aftwise Owner. Higher plans add more templates and more that a step can record; what they do not do is move a drill you might need on the worst day of your boating life up a tier.
These checklists are examples to start from, not official or approved procedures. You decide what is right for your boat, your crew and your waters: change any step, add your own, or delete what does not apply. Follow your manufacturer’s instructions, the law, and your own judgment.
Boats and yards differ too much for us to put a figure on yours; those are categories of spending, not a claim about your yard’s rates.
